How can I achieve consistency? One of the key tasks an editor will bring to your manuscript is consistency. To help you achieve consistency from the outset, it is advisable to establish a style sheet. This can cover preferred spelling of words with a number of options (eg, e-mail, email, E-mail), whether -ise or -ize spellings should be used, spelling of place and country names. If you haven’t already established a style sheet, JK editorial will write one for you, or can help you set one up before you begin writing. How do I know the deadlines are going to be met? JK editorial runs Microsoft XP on an un-networked, password-protected PC, running Norton Antivirus 2002 for which updates are downloaded on a weekly basis.
